Painted Canyon is a beautiful place. I hadn't been here in many years. Thanks to Geocaching, and sdompier, for getting me out exploring again. Actually found the cache without ever turning on the GPS based on description and photos on Geocaching.com. Be sure to carry water and take desert hiking precautions. It was nice and cool in the canyons but once out near the cachesite was hot and sunny.
