What a great place. The hike up the drainage from end of the jeep road is facinating. Wonderful sandstone formations and a nice little rainwater pool too. (Really glad were no more belly-crawls like the Mud Cave Cookie Tin.) My only worry is if lots of people climb up to the cache there will be some serious erosion problems along the ridge line. Found cache without any problems. Seems someone took all the CDs. I left a Palm Springs keychain and took one of Allen's magnetic business cards. Left a map and Geocaching.com printout. Found a water bottle on the way up and left it in the cache too. Also, when i got back to my truck i noticed i'd lost a white and black bandana. Probably snagged on an ocotillo someplace. If anyone sees it please carry it out.
End of the road in Oyster Shell wash.
Looking north. Cache is under the tall dead ocotillo.
From the other side looking south-east.
The cache itself.
